Who doesn't love a great rescue scene, especially when whump is the result (or the cause)?

Some examples:

High school frenemy - Shin saving Saint in the finale.

Bright Time - Ling Dong coming to the resue of Lan Jing Hui when he is trapped in the dark (his phobia of the dark leaves him paralyzed in fear.)

Under the skin season 2 - Du Cheng stopping Shen Yi from falling of the mountain.

Justice in the dark - Pei Su pushing Luo Weizhao away from the bomb.

The devil judge - Kim Ga On pushing Kang Yo Han away from a bomb

Reunion the sound of providence - Xiao Ge saving Wu Xie (I know there are MANY instances where this happens, this is just one example).

Anti-fraud league - Fang Yuan saving Mi Ruo from being shot.

Player - Kang Ha Ri saving Im Byung Min from being beaten to death.

Desire catcher - Luo Fei preventing Lu Feng Ping from killing himself while under hypnosis.

Watching Pyramid Game has convinced me that no genre does gay like straight k-drama thrillers. They got me with The Devil Judge, bullied me with 5-second sapphics in Squid Game, then 5 more second sapphics in All of Us are Dead, shattered me into a million pieces watching Weak Hero Class 1, made me question my sanity watching Bloodhounds, got me again with Beyond Evil, then tried to circle the block with 3-second gays in The 8 Show. I think Pyramid Game might be the show that finishes me off. I've never behaved like this in my life.

Like there's a real queer friend group of girls lying on a roof calling each other ugly. There's no better representation than that.

Korean cinema really had a whole ass era where a pretty young thing with kylie jenner lips would meet a hot older mildly to fully corrupt man who would end up manhandling the fuck outta that twink and I really think we should return to that era
